Do not buy this rower! I received this rower for Christmas 2010 and it broke on Jan. 5th 2011. It lasted a whole 12 days. The first sign that it was a piece of crap should have been that the machined bolt holes for the legs didn't quite match up and we had to jerry-rig it a bit when assembling it. The best part was then the left "oar" broke off at the weld point mid- stroke and I almost fell backward from the sudden lack of resistance on the "oars." It is not like I'm some muscle bound man and was working the poor machine too hard. I'm a woman in my early 30's in moderate shape. The fact that my arm strength was enough to break the stupid thing at the weld should give you a big hint as to how poor the quality is.
The whole thing is cheaply made. The computer is hard to read when working out and is fairly useless. I had used rowing machines in gyms and but this was the first rower I owned and would never buy this model or brand again. Do yourself a favor and buy a rower that will last more than 5 workouts!
The real test will be how hard it is to get Amazon or the manufacturer to refund the cost of this piece of junk!
