This review is from: Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat - Pippin (Baby Product)
Overall, this being a Snugride, I think it is probably safe as far as restraining a baby in an accident. However, if I were to do it again, I would spend a little more money to get some better features for the following reasons:
1) The fabric cover is thin and feels sort of cheap (although it does wipe clean pretty easily and can be taken off to machine wash it), and doesn't have a whole lot of cushion so I imagine it isn't very cozy for baby.
2) The curved headrest thing is absolutely useless. I thought that when my son "grew" into it (it doesn't really adjust ) that it would provide some support, but it doesn't. His head still slumps over when he falls asleep because the seat is so upright even though he has complete head control now (I don't know if other car seats lay back more). It might as well not even be there.
3) It doesn't come with any removable strap covers, so they get pretty nasty from drool and spit up because you can only spot clean them (highly recommend purchasing some separately so you don't run into this problem)
4) The handle is hard to move back and forth because the levers that you have to press stick so it takes a few tries to get them pressed in. They are also very squeaky and the handle make a really loud click when it locks into place and this always wakes him up if he is asleep!
5) Although the fabric pattern is cute, I am definitely sick of looking at it. I recommend getting something more neutral and plain.
