This review is from: DEWALT DCT410S1 12-Volt Max Inspection Camera Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
As I am about to tackle some home renovating tasks (some, of which, will entail getting behind walls), I had been wanting an inspection scope. Three days ago, I had purchased the Ryobi Tek4 scope, which (I also have to say) was a great little unit. The one thing that I didn't like about the Ryobi was that the cable was permanently attached to the scope's body. If that cable had, somehow, became damaged, I could only see it spelling the demise of the whole setup So I returned it. After doing a bit more researching, I considered two others: one by Milwaukee, and the other by Dewalt. I did have the opportunity to have a bit of physical interaction with the Milwaukee, at Home Depot, and thought it to be nice. I didn't have that same opportunity with the Dewalt, but was impressed with what I was able to gain from product description, and photos, on the net. For about the same money, the Milwaukee came with an impact driver in its kit, but that didn't factor into anything, for me, as I have a number of drivers already. The Dewalt was considered - first and foremost - because of knowing of their tool's quality & durability. The larger screen, detachable cable, and the ability to capture still shots & footage were the things that won me over.
Well, I ordered it - the same day that I returned the Ryobi - and received my Dewalt scope on yesterday. I couldn't WAIT to charge the battery up, and put this baby to the test. All I can say is that this is ONE GREAT TOOL. It is going to help me so much, with what I have to do around here.
