I bought this online because I wanted something to hold all of my equipment next to my mounted television. I liked its look from the pictures, but when I put it together I liked it even more. Amazon (and other sites) gives its dimensions, but I didn't really get how big it was until I put it together.
I really like that there is plenty of room inside the cabinet for your audio components. My receiver doesn't have its own internal fan, so it is important that it is able to get plenty of air. This cabinet allows more than enough (about two inches on each side) for air to enter the unit. The shelves too are adjustable for more air to enter above the receiver.
Putting it together took me about an hour working alone. I thought it was easy, but I have worked with this type of assembly (the screws and cams) many times before. The instructions really don't help, they consisted of I think two or three drawings of three steps. Each was a major step, with more than a few sub-steps, but they weren't really broken down. So I can assume that someone new to putting these things together would have a tough time.
I did a lot of online and retail store shopping looking for something, and I am very happy with my choice.
Note: I saw this advertised on many sites, up to $335 on one site plus shipping. The site I finally bought it from cost 235 with no shipping costs. Now I see that Amazon has it even lower, so shop around for the best deal.
