I bought this for my 15-year-old boy's room. It arrived in 2 boxes (one for the bed frame, the other for the headboard). Putting the bed together was very simple, so easy that my son actually did it with me just handing him the bolts. We left it the natural wood, which looks gorgeous with the camouflage comforter set we purchased from a popular hunting outfit. My son and I are both very pleased. It does offer wood drawers you can purchase separately for under-bed storage, but we decided to purchase some plastic bins to slide under the bed instead--cheaper.
